Yellow fever vaccination site in  Homburg

The medical practice of Ms Dr. med. G Henner, is an approved yellow fever vaccination site since 1998.

Yellow fever occurs on the African and South American continents.

The World Health Organization (WHO) publishes the list of affected countries and corresponding vaccination recommendations.
The yellow fever virus belongs to the same group as the Ebola and Lassa viruses, which often cause severe hemorrhagic diseases.
Until a few years ago, the yellow fever vaccination had to be renewed every ten years. Today we know that vaccination provides lifelong protection.

In addition to the vaccination recommendations of the WHO, individual countries issue their own entry regulations.
The vaccination must be carried out at the latest ten days before entry into the country.
It is a live vaccination, which means that body temperature rise and discomfort can occur after the vaccination. Alcohol consumption and unusual physical strain should be avoided until one week after the vaccination. The side effect rate increases with the yellow fever vaccination from an age of approximately 60 years upwards.

If you are planning to travel to countries with mandatory yellow fever, the vaccination should be carried out beforehand.
